Frostbuster Week programs feature four IMCA divisions

Frostbuster Week programs feature four IMCA divisions

Four Frostbuster dates mark the end of a very long winter and the beginning of the 2019 IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing point season in Iowa.

Four divisions run each night of the April 3-6 Frostbuster Week, with $1,000 to win, Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying events for the IMCA Modifieds headlining each race pro­gram.

Opening night is Wednesday, April 3 at Stuart Speedway. Benton County Speedway in Vin­ton hosts the Thursday, April 4 show, Marshalltown Speedway the Friday, April 5 program and Boone Speed­way the Saturday, April 6 finale. Fan favorite Ken Schrader will join the Modified contenders each night.

IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $500 to win, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods for $400 to win and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $250 to at each Frost­buster.

One thousand dollar point funds will be paid in each division. Champions will be eligi­ble to qualify for their respective race of champions events dur­ing the IMCA Speedway Mo­tors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s and receive jackets and plaques dur­ing the national awards banquet in November.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Re­gional and E3 Spark Plugs Iowa State points will be awarded at all four shows. Entry fees each night are $30 for Modifieds, $25 for Stock Cars and $20 for SportMods and for Hobby Stocks.

Pit passes are $30. Mach-1 Sport Compacts also race at Stuart, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars at Boone.

Pit gates open at 5 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. at Stuart and at Vinton. Hot laps are at 7 p.m. with racing to fol­low.

Gates open at 4 p.m., the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. and racing follows 7 p.m. hot laps at Marshalltown.

Boone opens the pit gates at 2 p.m. and the grand­stand at 3 p.m. Hot laps start at 4 p.m. and rac­ing at 5 p.m.
